Video Haiku 

Due Date: September 26th
Points possible: 100
Storyboard: 15 points

Technique: DSLR video shots with Tripod
Processing: Adobe Premiere

Requirements:
1. 6 different video shots
2. Text (your haiku)
3. Length: 30 seconds
4. Sound: ambient or silent


For this assignment, I'm asking you to put a lot of thought into color palette, lighting and overall tone for your video piece. My best piece of advice is: TRIPOD, TRIPOD, TRIPOD. Handheld video footage can be very distracting, if you are NOT using a stabilizer, so when in doubt, use either a tripod or a monopod for all of your shots. Also, you must think about the timing between your shots. For example, will you be using quick cuts, or slow, visual transitions?

Questions to ask yourself: 
What is the tone of my haiku and how can I best visually depict it?
What will my color palette be?
Will I be using natural, or artificial lighting?
What kind of movements will I be capturing?
How will I be using text throughout this piece?

Format: Please upload your final pieces to either Youtube and send me the link. We will play all of the haikus one after another first before we do individual critiques.
